In 2003 I became a 'Company of One'. Specialising in Digital and Interactive media, I offer a range of front-end programming, design and consultation services.
Websites, flash applications, branding, iTV services, peer to peer internet Television, I've been fortunate to work on and with a wide range of products and medias. I'm a bit of a workaholic, and love a challenge. I operate from a small office space at the fantastic Happiness at Work Studios.
After getting a 2.1 BA Hons degree in Visual Arts from Plymouth University, I started my working career in 1998, working for Teletext as a digital designer on the prototype and then live Interactive TV service for Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT). In 2000 at the relatively young age of 23, I was made Senior Designer responsible for the redesign and authoring of the DTT Digital Teletext service and managing a small team of highly skilled Designer/Programmers.
Over the next three years I left Teletext to join Definition Consultants as Senior Creative supplying iTV Applications to broadcasters including ITV Digital. Then in 2002 myself and Daniel Khan formed Dusted Ltd an iTV digital agency. However as we specialised in MHEG applications the demise of on-digital the then DTT UK supplier, hit Dusted hard. Dusted is currently a dormant company.
I'm a BIG music fan, and spend a lot of my spare time tinkering around on the guitar writing and re-writing song after song. I reckon I've got an album in me just waiting to happen (If i can get off my arse).
I'm also a bit of a computer game geek, much to my girlfriends delight, I think its the problem solving side of them that gets me so hooked.
Suffer with fluctuating mild to extreme agorophobia which is always a joy. So if you happen to see someone freakin out, looking pastey or running in no particular direction like a madman, It could well be me having a bad day.
Just brought a house in Penge (Kingdom of the take-aways), its not as bad as it sounds. Also just got engaged too, which is lovely.
To all my clients and collegues, who keep me going, keep me learning, and inspire me on to bigger and better things.
Abi for making me smile every day.
And all my friends and family, who have helped make me, me. Especially my Dad who I miss greatly.
Some people know me as a designer some know me as a coder, belows a pretty full, but not in any way definitive list, of the things I normally do.
Various sites, friends and places that I like, and I reckon you may like too.
